RNV.ai at Istanbul Bilgi University: Guest Lecture on AI-Driven Retail
CEO Gökhan Yücel as Guest Instructor in the Marketing Communications MA Program — Consumer Behavior, AI & Retail
Istanbul Bilgi University's markaokulu – Marketing Communications Master's Program is dedicated to training creative, analytically minded professionals with a strong command of industry dynamics. Throughout the academic year, the program brings students face to face with a wide spectrum of professionals — from entrepreneurs and agency teams to media professionals and advertisers — enabling them to gain specialized expertise across the many dimensions of marketing communications.
As part of this mission, our CEO and Co-Founder Gökhan Yücel joined the program on November 24, 2025 as a guest instructor for the Consumer Behavior and Psychology course. At the invitation of Dr. Öner Başarır, Yücel delivered a comprehensive session on AI-powered inventory management, data-driven decision-making, and the impact of shifting consumer behavior on retail operations.
Topics Covered
The session was designed to help students understand how consumer behavior shapes not only communication strategies, but every layer of retail decision-making — from product placement and inventory management to pricing and demand forecasting. Topics discussed included:
How consumer behavior and trends are interpreted by AI models
Optimization algorithms that ensure the right product reaches the right customer at the right place and price
The impact of consumer trends on demand forecasting and SKU-level planning
Preventing lost sales and aging inventory through data-driven actions
Real-world examples of inter-store transfer optimization achieving 15–20× sales uplift
All of these topics were explored through concrete findings from RNV.ai's real-world deployments, grounding the discussion in measurable, field-tested results.
High Engagement, Deep Discussion
Students responded with exceptional engagement throughout the session. The Q&A segment that followed sparked in-depth conversations around the influence of behavioral trends on brand and product performance, the balance between intuition and data in inventory optimization, and how automation is reshaping planning processes in modern retail.
We are grateful to Dr. Öner Başarır, Istanbul Bilgi University, and all the students who followed the session with such genuine curiosity and enthusiasm.
We believe that academia-industry collaboration plays a critical role in the transformation of the retail sector — and we are committed to deepening these partnerships going forward.
